If any one can give me some advice on how I can have the latest version of DarnUI and aHud working together I would really appreciate it. I also try to look at the XML and see if I can manually fix this issue but I really couldn't figure out the problem. I have tried to change the load order and disable my merged patch and that did not help either. But the game crashes to desktop regardless. So I assume that I would have to rename that to hud_main_menu.xml and replace with DarNified UI current one. There is basically 1 file located in data/menus/main called hud_main_menu.xml which conflicts with DarNified UI however I noticed that Gopher has included a file called "hud_main_" within his zip archive. The armor comes with a pair of built in gloves that actually work with the pip-boy glove. Krueger Chemist: Chemical warfare uniform with gas mask and carbon fiber netting. Krueger Allegiance: Classic action combat uniform with carbon fiber shroud. However when I try to install aHUD along side DarNified UI the game will instantly crash. Tweaked a couple of textures but overall left most of it untouched from the original. TY maxġ year after and i can confirm this still works, thank you so much!Īnd after 2 years can confirm that THIS is STILL the only solution I can find that worked for me.Basically I have returned to Fallout 3 for another grand play through, so naturally I started with installing some necessary mods, to make a long story short I have successfully installed the latest version of DarNified UI but I really like to have my compass at the top middle part of the screen, and it seems that Gophers mod aHUD is one of the only options I have to do this. my settings for immersion purposes: - no enemy on radar. Today I only just now got game to load without crashing by using the version maxswr found. Maybe not everybody knows how much customizable DarNified UI can be. Installed and reinstalled the 2 files without success in the past I have played F03 with darnUI thousands of hours, probably reinstalling the game via steam 3 times as I upgraded operating systems. I edited the fallout.ini file in my games folder 10 times to make sure it was done correctly. My old copies of his files, my archive copies of the "dui_f3a11.zip" & "dui_f3a11_HF.7z" just would not work. I agree with maxswr, what he said is the only way I am now able to get the game to start without crashing doing a new install with darnUI. It will work fine and you should have the latest Darnified UI. Go to and copy the text into your fallout.ini from there. Don't copy the text from the site, that's in Russian. Here's the link for the latest Fallout 3 Darnified UI version: Yes it's in Russian, but if you translate the page and create an account it will let you download the file. I have been at this for hours, and cannot get it to work. Автор сообщения: maxswrI found a better solution than the Mods Reloaded version, which I had trouble with. I had DARN UI for FNV (on steam), but it is much more complicated for Fallout 3, plus DARN FONT FOR DUMMIES is no longer on the nexus. I followed Gopher's mod tutorial on youtube, and this was the only point where I deviated from his path, since those old bethesda links are long dead and the stuff you find elsewhere on the interwebz is either in 7z or FOMOD, but none worked for me.
